Is it important for your children to learn Vietnamese?
For most of us, who are second-generation Vietnamese, the language we are most comfortable with is English. Whether we want to admit it or not, we will most likely communicate with our children in English more than in Vietnamese. Thus, I believe that by the third generation, many Vietnamese will completely forget the language.
