Fellow Vietnamese American Elected Officials Endorse Trung Nguyen for Supervisor
GARDEN GROVE - On the heels of his announcement, Trung Nguyen has received a near unanimous support from his fellow elected officials in the Vietnamese-American community in the state of California.
The following elected leaders have endorsed Trung in his candidacy for Supervisor, 1st District:

* Hon. Madison Nguyen, San Jose City Councilwoman
* Hon. John Tran, Rosemead City Councilman

* Hon. Lan H. Nguyen, Board Member, Eastside Union High School District
* Ms. Dina Nguyen, Garden Grove City Councilwoman-elect
* Mr. Tri Ta, Westminster City Councilman-elect
* Mr. Andrew Nguyen, Board Member-elect, Westminster School District
* Mr. Truong Diep, Director-elect, Midway City Sanitary District
"Trung Nguyen is a highly qualified leader to represent Central Orange County on the Board of Supervisors," said Assemblyman Tran. "The taxpayers of this county will be well served with his leadership on the Board." Elected to the California State Assembly in 2004, Tran is the highest ranking Vietnamese-American elected official in the country. He currently serves as Assistant Republican Leader.
"The overwhelming support of Vietnamese American elected officials from throughout the state speaks volumes about their respect for and confidence in Trung, both as a Supervisorial candidate and a community leader," continued Assemblyman Tran.
With 25% of the voters identified as Vietnamese, the 1st District represents a large part of Little Saigon, which encompasses the cities of Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Westminster and the unincorporated Midway City area.
