Give the breath of life

20,000 babies in Vietnam die each year of respiratory problems that are easily avoidable here in the U.S. with use of a medical device called a CPAP - Continuous Positive Air Pressure.

My friend Kirk, an American engineer, has volunteered years of his time and effort to figure out a way to manufacture CPAPs in Vietnam for 1/10th of the cost of importing the machines from the U.S. We’re trying to find sources of funding to get these machines into the hospitals and clinics in Vietnam, so if you can help out with either donations or by passing this message along to friends and colleagues, we’d really appreciate it. To find out more, please go to www.eastmeetswest.org. If this project goes well in Vietnam, we will try to expand and bring this device to other developing countries.
