United Airlines Prepares Direct Flights
Starting December 9, 2004 - United Airlines will fly directly from San Francisco to Vietnam. For those who want to return to Vietnam, going home has become much easier.
United Airlines is the first commercial airline to restore service in Vietnam for more than 30 years. Flights will travel from San Francisco to Hong Kong then to Saigon (otherwise known as Ho Chi Minh City).
American Airlines has also signed an agreement with Japan Airlines to service Vietnam through Tokyo. With both these airline giants providing service, Vietnam’s air industry is predicted to grow by 10 percent a year.
