Thich Nhat Hanh returns to Vietnam

Today Thich Nhat Hanh returns to Vietnam after being exiled from the county for almost 40 years. Thich Nhat Hanh is a Zen Master, poet, peace and human rights activist - he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King, Jr.

Thich Nhat Hanh arrives in Vietnam today and plans to stay there till April 11, 2005. Here’s a link to some more information.

Thich Nhat Hanh is one of the most widely known Vietnamese monks - he’s published over 100 books and is an active human rights activist. He has spoken out against social injustice and human rights. In 1966 he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and in the same year he was exiled from Vietnam.
